2- Our biggest AH HA moment was the lower ramp that we put beneath the hole, to catch it and have it roll back. Otherwise, the ball would have rolled away when it scored. We got this idea near the end when we realized we didn't have time to do the whole under part.
3- Rachel resisted the new ideas, but we all agreed in the end, and made it successful (she resisted having a smaller hole, and wanted the game to have a bigger one, so we changed it and it turns out it was for the better)
4- The legs were our doubt, because originally we were going to use Pringles cans for it, but the bookstore didn't have any the length we needed so we overcame that doubt by using books that were in the class to hold it up.
5- Rachel was the 'devil's advocate', and this helped us by helping to solve some of the potential problems we could have encountered (like not having the score hole big enough for anyone to win ever)
6- I learned that if we put time into something, we can make something that functions for someone else to use without us even having to explain it, only leaving instructions. I learned that i can be helpful to a group, and that the design process has a lot more steps then I would have imagined.
2. All of the kids said they really liked the game because
it was challenging, could be played in many different ways, could be played on
a rainy day, and the instructions were
easy to follow. (One kid said that the game was a little too challenging.) The
teacher said that he wished the game was more self sustainable.
Our goals for making the game fun were to make it a little
challenging but not too much, to have multiple holes to get the ball through,
(like a normal skeeball machine) and to make the game colorful and attractive.
I think we did accomplish the making it a little challenging, but we didn't put
multiple holes because there wasn't enough room and it would've been way to
difficult. We scribbled a little bit of color on our skeeball machine, but it
wasn't that attractive. The main problem was the amount of time we had.
